About Me
Giselle Madera-Rodriguez, M.Ed., SLPA-BE
As an Educational Consultant with over 20 years of experience as a Special Educator and Speech and Language Assistant, I am passionate about empowering parents, students, and providers. I support families of both special needs and typically developing students through educational transitions by offering guidance, resources, and individualized strategies.
My services include parent consulting, tutoring, post-secondary planning, and workforce preparation. I help students build time management, organizational skills, and confidence while assisting with college or technical school applications and career readiness. I also provide strengths-based trainings and coaching for providers working with special needs students.
My Story
Fluent in both English and Spanish, I specialize in working with families from diverse backgrounds, offering guidance, support, and practical tools tailored to each family’s unique needs. Since 2019, I have provided virtual services to families. Helping them understand their child’s needs, and get the necessary services for success. As a special needs educator for over 20 years, I can support your family’s journey from infancy through college.
I’m a firm believer that parents are a child’s first and most powerful advocate and I provide the strategies, resources, and emotional support needed to thrive in that role.
Having witnessed the isolation many parents feel when their child is diagnosed with a delay or disability, I have created a sense of community by connecting families through social media platforms. These safe, supportive spaces have become a lifeline for many, offering encouragement and solidarity during times of uncertainty.
I want to share what I have learned over the years with other providers. Help them to support families and ensure that the support they provide is holistic and culturally responsive. My trainings and coaching are individualized, strengths-based, and focused on building both skill and confidence—at home and beyond. When I’m not supporting families and therapists, I love traveling and spending time with my family.
